scheduling conflicts ‣ Leoben spends at least two days a week in Engineering, and any other spare moments he can, but he is in fact a member of the shuttle bay, based on sentimentality. He's also expressly available to train engineering volunteers back in the way of working on shuttles, flying etc. He also volunteers in gunnery, spends the odd day in medical repairing equipment and hanging with his sister, and now and again ends up locked up in the brig, so oops.
experience ‣ Leoben is a Cylon, which means that when it comes to the mechanical--well, he is. He understands machines very well, but particularly complex systems like computers, and that's what he'll focus on especially. Leoben is very capable with both arms and armaments and communications equipment, thus his engagements elsewhere, but he's practical and physical, superhumanly strong, and understands space, spaceships, and how they work. One of the first things he helped with on board was the damaged to the hull after the radiation storm, but all Cylon are capable of pulling their weight and doing hard labour, as necessary. In particular, though, if there's complex electrical work or computer recalibrating that needs doing, Leoben can handle it with ease, since if need be he can plug himself straight into the mainframe.
other notes
‣ good humored and generous, friendly, and very eager to please
‣ happy to jump in and help anyone who's having a hard time with a job
‣ spends a lot of time watching other people work, under the guise of his working himself
‣ talks about god and rivers and the circle of fate a lot
‣ might get caught cutting his wrist open and wiring himself right into the computer
‣ superstrength
